Heat dissipation is a problem the outdoor LED display screens must solving. As the cooling effect will directly affects the lifespan, luminous efficiency and stability of LED chips, so to solve the heat problem is important for improving the stability and life of outdoor rental LED display screens. In this article, the engineer from Glux Visual Effects Tech will introduce you some useful ways to improve the heat dissipation ability both from the LED screen manufacturer’s and user’s aspects.
1. Packaging measures of the LED chips for outdoor rental LED display screens. Normally, there are two kinds of packaging ways the LED screen manufacturers will use: micro spray structure and flip chip structure. Micro spray have high heat dissipation ability and the temperature of LED chip’s base board is even, but their stability and reliability have large influence on the system, and the system has complicated structure, thus increased the cost. Flip chip structure can improve the light efficiency and heat dissipation ability of LED chips. But the heat generate by the PN is dissipated by the sapphire substrate, it will influence the LED chip’s heat dissipation ability, thus influence the rental LED screens. 2. Packaging material of the LED chips for outdoor rental LED display screens. The thermal inter-facial material for LED chip’s packaging should use conductive silver adhesives rather than thermal adhesive. Thermal adhesive can only be used on these LED packaging components which has low heat dissipation requirements. For outdoor rental LED display screens, it is better to use conductive silver adhesives. In addition, the base-plate material is also important to the heat dissipation ability of LED chips. The base-plate material must has the following advantages: high thermal conductivity, insulativity, stability, smoothness and high strength. 3. For the users: regular clean and monitoring work is important to the outdoor rental LED display screens. Since there will be dust and dirt in the open air, so the regular clean work will be necessary. Dist and dust goes into the LED screens or on the surface of the LED screens will influence their heat dissipation ability, further influence the working stability of rental LED screens. In addition, the user should also monitoring the temperature of the LED screens regularly. If the body temperature of the LED screens are high, it is better to turn them off and check the heat dissipation devices and other components immediately. If there is any components working abnormally, repair or change it immediately, otherwise the abnormal components will influence the working stability of the whole rental LED display screen.
